The type of bank that we will start with as per South African legislation- is the Co-operative Bank, which pretty much allows us to do whatever a large bank does within specific legal parameters.

In to order apply for the Co-operative Banking License, in short - the following is required:

1. 200 members

2. R100 000 total share capital
   (R500 per person or other)

• Solvent

• Definition of a common bond

• Requirements - Co-operative Act

• Requirements - Bank Act Exemption Notice

• CBDA Rules, prudential, operating standards
