The type of bank that we will start with as per South African legislation- is the Co-operative Bank, which pretty much allows us to do whatever a large bank does within specific legal parameters.
In to order apply for the Co-operative Banking License, in short - the following is required:
200 members
R100 000 total share capital
(R500 per person or other)
Solvent
Definition of a common bond
Requirements - Co-operative Act
Requirements - Bank Act Exemption Notice
CBDA Rules, prudential, operating standards
